Decisions, Decisions

Every day is a new day.  How many times have I heard this before or even said those words myself?  When you're awake before the alarm clock goes off, when you've had a sleepless/restless night and you feel sick to your stomach at the thought of going into work, what do you do?  How do you press yourself on to get into the shower, put on your poker face and trudge into that place that makes you feel this way?

Do you prolong the decision?  Maybe go outside to smoke, walk the dogs, turn the tv on, fidget with food in the fridge, then at the last minute put yourself on auto pilot and hop in the shower?

I choose "Procrastination"!  Just a little while longer.

Where did 2011 go?

Surely I am not the only person who feels as if 2011 has flown by.  Just last January I was working full-time and started taking Bartender classes.  Highly recommend Maryland Bartending Academy!

Went home to Tennessee for most of the Spring and Summer.  Came back to the Virginia area in August and all of a sudden it's the beginning of December.  Christmas and New Years!  Holy Smokes, time is flying.

To close out 2011, I am going to spend the Eve of New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve in Times Square.  Yes, New York City!  It's my Christmas present to my sister -and myself.  We're going to see a Broadway show Friday night and celebrate in Times Square on Saturday night.

We have a list of places we think are must-sees.  Central Park, Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, 5th Avenue, and at the top of our list is Ground Zero.  While we won't be in the city all that long, we hope to also get in a little shopping and a whole lot of picture taking.  Suggestions?  Recommendations?
